What Happens In The Bay
- 01We start from your manufacturer's schedule for your exact year, make and model — not a generic package.
- 02The car goes on the lift for a full inspection: fluids, belts, hoses, filters, brakes, suspension, exhaust and tires.
- 03Anything found gets photographed or shown to you on the car, with a plain explanation of whether it needs doing now or can safely wait.
- 04You approve the work before anything is done, and you leave with a written report of what we checked, what we did, and what to watch.
What Waiting Costs
Deferred maintenance rarely announces itself. Skipped fluid changes turn into a transmission; a belt nobody looked at strands you; a small leak becomes an overheated engine. The whole point of a schedule is that it is cheaper than the failure it prevents.
What Affects The Price
- Which milestone service the car is due for — a 30K is mostly filters, a 90K can include a timing belt
- Whether your engine uses a timing belt or a chain
- Oil type and capacity, which vary a lot between engines
- Whether the inspection turns up work that is genuinely due now

How Long It Takes
Most routine services are done the same day. Larger milestone work is quoted before we start so you know whether to plan for the car being with us longer.

Common Questions
- Do I have to use the dealer to keep my warranty?
- No. In the US, a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because an independent shop did the scheduled maintenance. Keep your receipts and records — that is what matters if a claim is ever questioned.
- I have no service history for the car. Where do we start?
- With an inspection, and by assuming the worst on the safety-critical items — particularly the timing belt if your engine has one. Being wrong about that costs you one belt. Being wrong the other way can cost you the engine.
- Will you tell me before doing extra work?
- Always. We call with the finding, the price, and whether it can safely wait. Nothing gets done that you have not approved.
- What is included that other shops charge for?
- The written multi-point report, and a free visual brake inspection. If you need a ride while the car is with us, the shuttle and loaner cars are free too.
